1969 Corvette LS Swap Build – Modern Performance Meets Classic C3 Styling

At Cleveland Power and Performance, we recently completed an exciting 1969 Chevrolet Corvette LS swap project that combined classic C3 styling with modern GM performance and reliability. This build transformed the car into a much more dependable and enjoyable driver while maintaining the timeless appearance that makes the 1969 Corvette so iconic.

The project began with a full disassembly of the vehicle so we could properly prepare the chassis, engine bay, wiring, and supporting systems for the LS conversion. The original drivetrain, fuel system, wiring, cooling components, and related parts were removed to make room for the upgraded setup. During the build we also cleaned and inspected the chassis, organized the factory wiring, updated mounting components, and prepared the car for final assembly.

The centerpiece of the build was the installation of a modern GM LS engine and updated transmission package. Along with the drivetrain installation, we integrated a modern fuel system, upgraded cooling components, custom wiring, and supporting electronics to ensure the Corvette would perform reliably both on the street and during spirited driving. Proper wiring integration and system calibration are critical on any modern engine swap, and extensive time was spent making sure every system functioned correctly and cleanly.

To modernize the interior while keeping a factory-inspired appearance, the Corvette also received a Dakota Digital gauge system installation. The upgraded gauges work seamlessly with the LS drivetrain and provide accurate readings for critical engine functions while improving overall reliability.

Additional work included cooling system upgrades, custom exhaust, cold air intake fitment, brake system work, and final assembly and testing. Every part of the build was carefully checked to ensure the Corvette was road-ready and dependable.
