4 door LX SRT8 Manual Conversion

Hello Friends and Fans! If you have been following what we have been up to in recent years you will know that we have successfully completed several four door SRT8 manual transmission conversions. If you haven’t seen these particular vehicles, you will now… that is if you continue reading this article.

We are often asked for info on out SRT manual swaps, if we offer a manual swap kit, and if we could swap a customers 300C, Charger or Magnum with a 6 speed manual transmission. These are not always easy questions to answer, and here is why. What we do when building these cars and the parts we use go far above what we consider a “swap”.  They way we complete these vehicles involves a complete donor Challenger (for the manual trans, harness, rear gears, tunnel, etc) full disassembly of the both the donor and the 4 door interiors, lots of cut, welding, fab and a LOT of wiring and programming.

Of course one could take a 2006 Charger and throw a 5.7l manual setup in it, but that cluster is probably gonna light up like Clark Griswold’s house, and what would you be sacrificing on-top of that? Drivability, creature comforts, safety? When we approach our manual conversion we aim to make the vehicle appear and operate just as it would have from the factory (or better). That means no check engine lights, no loss of power, and retention of all creature comforts inside the vehicle. We use the period correct driveline. The 05-10 LX cars we build, get the 425hp 6.1L HEMI and TR6060 transmission. This is no easy task, making it more than a “swap” and not really possible to sell as a kit. We of course would do the conversion for any one interested. So if you are looking for more info on the process, or are wising your 4 door LX had a third pedal, take a look at the info below. As always, please feel free to call us at 866-236-5031 with any questions or comments.

Thank you.
