But in 2024, the Columbus Blue Jackets decided to take things to the next level with a one-of-a-kind project: turning a Zamboni, the quintessential ice-grooming machine, into a custom fan cruiser. Enter Cleveland Power and Performance (CPP), the team that transformed this seemingly mundane vehicle into an eye-catching, party-on-wheels sensation—the Boomboni.

CPP, known for their award-winning car restorations and custom builds, stepped in to lead the transformation. Their team didn’t just retrofit a Zamboni—they reimagined it, turning it into a party cruiser with personality and style.

Exterior Overhaul:
The outer shell of the Boomboni received a complete redesign and reshape to accommodate passengers in the bucket that is no longer needed to resurface the ice. We finished the Boomboni then delivered it to the Bluejackets to be wrapped in the team’s colors, along with their sponsors branding.

Interior Design: A Mobile Fan Experience
The exterior work might draw fans in, but the interior of the Boomboni is where the real magic happens. CPP ensured that stepping into the Boomboni feels like entering the ultimate Blue Jackets fan experience. The Boomboni was designed to seat a small group of fans comfortably. Plush seating, designed with custom Blue Jackets upholstery, wraps around the cabin, offering a VIP experience during game day events and parades. We custom crafted a seat that is wrapped in leather that has been fit with actual jersey material!

Lighting and Atmosphere:
Interior lighting can be adjusted to fit the mood. From team-themed colors to pulsating light shows during game highlights, the lighting enhances the energy and excitement within the cruiser.
